Reading Climate Change Partnership invites you to join us for the launch of the consultation on the third Reading Climate Change Strategy (2020-25).
A Climate Emergency has been declared by Reading Council, and this means accelerating plans to reduce the carbon footprint of Reading to zero by 2030. With significant Climate change already in the system we will also need to urgently consider how to adapt Reading to cope with this. Please attend and contribute ideas to shape our plans for Reading for the next 5 years.
In order to deliver this we face significant challenges on energy and low carbon, transport, health, water supply and flooding, natural environment and green spaces, and resources and consumption. How can Reading businesses, utilities and our community work together to tackle climate change?
It is a Strategy for everyone in Reading so we welcome as much energy and input as you can give. We are keen to develop and grow our networks and active partners to enable the scale of change that we need.
The event will include speakers from the Partnership and an opportunity to contribute and network.
